We Love Eyes Product Review: Foaming Cleanser, Makeup Remover, Eye Roller, and AM Eyelid Gel

In this article, we’re diving into a review of eyelid and eyelash care products from a brand called We Love Eyes. These products are specifically designed for cleaning your eyelids, eyelashes, and even eyelash extensions. Many of my patients and viewers have asked about them, so I decided to try them out myself to see if they live up to the hype. Let's take a closer look.

Hey everyone, I’m Dr. Joseph Allen from the Dr. Eye Health Show. My goal is to help you learn all about eye health, vision, and the best vision products on the market. Today, we’re focusing on a product line from We Love Eyes. These products are designed to clean your eyelids and eyelashes, and even help treat conditions like blepharitis. They include ingredients like tea tree oil, which is known for its antimicrobial properties, especially effective against Demodex, a type of mite that can infest your eyelashes.

These products are often recommended by eye clinics, but you can also find them online. If you’re interested in learning more or checking current prices, I’ve provided links in the description below.

Product #1: We Love Eyes Foaming Cleanser

First up is the We Love Eyes Foaming Cleanser. Like many eyelid cleansers, this product contains tea tree oil, which is renowned for its skin-healing and antimicrobial properties. However, it’s crucial to note that tea tree oil needs to be diluted, as pure tea tree oil can cause skin irritation or even burns. This cleanser is labeled as oil-free, vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, paraben-free, and free of artificial fragrances.

Using the Foaming Cleanser
To use the foaming cleanser, it’s recommended to remove your contact lenses first. Since I don’t have the specific cleaning brush suggested by the brand, I’ll be using a cotton swab instead. The cleanser has a nice, foamy texture, and while applying it, I noticed a mild tingling sensation, likely due to the tea tree oil. However, it wasn’t too intense, and after rinsing it off with water, my eyelids felt clean and refreshed.

Product #2: We Love Eyes Makeup Remover

Next, we have the We Love Eyes Makeup Remover. The product comes with a cheeky slogan: “It’s only a walk of shame because you didn’t remove your eye makeup.” I decided to test this remover by applying some eyeliner from brands like Eyes Are the Story and 2020 Beauty, both known for their eye-safe makeup products.

Using the Makeup Remover
After applying the eyeliner, I used the makeup remover as directed—dispensing a few drops onto a cotton pad and gently rubbing it over my eyelids and eyelashes. The makeup came off quite easily, but to remove the residue completely, I had to follow up with the We Love Eyes Foaming Cleanser. Overall, the makeup remover performed well, though I’d recommend pairing it with the foaming cleanser for the best results.

Product #3: We Love Eyes Eye Roller

Now let’s talk about the We Love Eyes Eye Roller. Initially, I wasn’t sure what to expect from an eye roller, but I was pleasantly surprised by its weight and design. You can run the roller under cold or warm water, depending on whether you want a cooling or warming effect.

Using the Eye Roller
I tried the roller after running it under cold water, and it felt soothing on my eyelids. While it’s supposed to help reduce puffiness, I can’t say I noticed a dramatic difference immediately. However, the cooling sensation was definitely pleasant, especially in the morning when your eyes might be a bit swollen.

Product #4: We Love Eyes AM Eyelid Gel

Lastly, I tested the We Love Eyes AM Eyelid Gel. This product is designed to improve the appearance of fine lines, dark circles, and under-eye bags. It’s packed with antioxidants and a natural alternative to retinol called Vigna Aconitifolia, which is supposed to boost collagen production without the drying effects associated with retinol.

Using the AM Eyelid Gel
The gel comes with a unique applicator, and I applied a thin layer under my eyes as directed. I did experience a mild burning sensation, which made me a bit concerned about a potential allergic reaction. However, the sensation subsided, and while the gel left a slightly tacky feeling on my skin, it did seem to tighten the area under my eyes a bit. The effect is likely temporary, so continuous use would be necessary to maintain results.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I had a positive experience with most of these We Love Eyes products. The foaming cleanser stood out as my favorite, primarily because it’s something I’d use regularly as part of my eyelid hygiene routine. The makeup remover also did a decent job, although it’s not something I’d personally need to use often. The eye roller was soothing, and I could see myself using it on puffy mornings. The AM eyelid gel, while effective to some extent, did cause a bit of discomfort, so I’d advise caution if you have sensitive skin.
