Today’s Review: TheraTears Eye Nutrition
Let’s get into it! I’m thrilled to share my thoughts on TheraTears Eye Nutrition, a product I’ve been using for years. This supplement has become an essential part of my daily routine, and I’m excited to tell you why.
Why TheraTears?
I first came across TheraTears Eye Nutrition through my ophthalmologist, who specializes in comprehensive eye health. Unlike optometrists who focus primarily on vision correction with glasses and contacts, ophthalmologists provide broader care, including recommending supplements to support eye health. My ophthalmologist not only recommended this product but also sold it in her office. However, I found it at CVS for a better price, and that’s where I continue to purchase it.
Product Details:
- Price: Approximately $19.99 at CVS.
- Location in Store: You can find TheraTears in the eye care section of your local pharmacy, alongside eye drops and contact lens solutions.
- Packaging: The supplements come in a paper box, which contains 90 capsules.
How to Take TheraTears:
Each serving consists of three capsules. You don’t need to take them with food, but if you have a sensitive stomach, it’s a good idea to eat something before taking them. I prefer to take all three capsules at once to avoid forgetting throughout the day.
Nutritional Information:
- Omega-3 Content: 1,200 mg per serving (three capsules).
- Ingredients: Includes flaxseed oil, fish oil (rich in omega-3s), and vitamin E.
- Other Components: EPA and DHA, which are essential fatty acids beneficial for eye health.
- Calories and Fat: 30 calories and 3 grams of total fat per serving.
Benefits of TheraTears:
If you spend long hours on the computer, use your phone frequently, or wear contact lenses, you might experience dry eyes. TheraTears helps alleviate this dryness without the need for eye drops. Previously, I had to carry eye drops everywhere I went. Now, I don’t worry about my eyes becoming irritated or dry throughout the day or night.
I’ve noticed significant relief when I consistently take TheraTears. If I miss a dose, I can quickly feel the difference—my eyes become dry again, reminding me to stay on track with my supplement routine. Typically, you’ll start feeling the benefits within a couple of days of taking the recommended dose of three capsules daily.
Cost-Saving Tips:
Here’s a tip to save money: If you have a Flex Spending Account (FSA) through your employer, you can use it to purchase TheraTears. FSAs allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible health expenses. This means you’re effectively saving money because you’re spending pre-tax dollars instead of after-tax ones.
Make sure to check your FSA plan details for eligibility, as some items may have specific rules. TheraTears is usually covered, and you can also look for coupons in the product box to save even more.
Retail Availability:
While CVS is where I regularly find TheraTears, other pharmacies like Walgreens may also carry it. If it’s out of stock, ask a store manager when it will be available again or if they can order more.
Hair Care Update:
Before I sign off, I want to quickly update you on my hair. I recently had it done and am still using the PhytoSpecific relaxer. This is a more natural relaxer with plant-based ingredients, making it less harsh on the scalp. I’ve had issues with scalp burns in the past, but this relaxer has been gentle and effective.
PhytoSpecific offers two types: Index 1 for fine hair and Index 2 for thicker hair. I use Index 2. It’s not always available in stores, so I order it online and bring it to my stylist. Despite being pricey, it’s worth it for its quality and results. For more information on this relaxer, check out my other video.
Final Thoughts:
I hope you found this review helpful. Let me know your thoughts if you’ve tried TheraTears or if you decide to purchase it. It’s a cost-effective solution for managing dry eyes, especially compared to constantly buying eye drops. I’ve had the same bottle of eye drops for years now, thanks to TheraTears.
